| Matt just made me throw away my favorite pair of black flats. I call them my teacher shoes. We have had some good times together; student teaching, my job interview for Jarrett, at our wedding in the rain I wore them at the reception, they were on my feet when I almost walked out the door on the first day of school with my shirt inside out. Oh how I will miss them. He did buy me a new pair to replace them but it's not the same.
I am sick of preparing for the MAP test. I just want my kids to remember to use a capital letter at the beginning of a sentence and a period at the end. I also pray that they remember their order of operations. I have big dreams for the first two weeks in April.
One of my kids only has a disability in Math calc so he wrote a Narrative for Language Arts Fair. He got third for the whole region. I am so proud of him. He worked very hard on it.
SPRING BREAK IS HERE!! I did not think it would ever get here. They took away presidents day and an early dismissal day after the ice storm. We were all in major need of a break. It was nice to run out of the building at the end of the day and realize I was not the only one who was bugging out before contract time was up. It was only 7 minutes. Plus half the parking lot was already gone.
I am thinking about repainting the living room. Any ideas?
Hope to hear from everybody.

| Our power came on Wednesday at 5:15 pm. I ran on the porch and jumped up and down clapping. I was so excited. I think I scared the workers.
I started my masters this week. Its been fun to be back and school and it be my choice. Not something I HAVE to do. My Child Welfare class is going to be crazy. There are some super fun ladies and they asked me to join their book club. I feel very adult like.
Keep in touch |

| In the midst of the hustle and bustle i wanted to make sure I wished all of you a Merry Christmas. I am so glad tomorrow is the last day before 2 weeks off. No work for 2 weeks. I am enjoying having all the kids bring yummy things to school. There are a lot of moms that are great cooks.
I have also had the joy of being on the school Christmas basket committee. It has been fun seeing all the things the kids bring in and watching them get into the spirit of giving. Matt came and helped other teachers deliver the baskets during classes today. They sure did love him.
Matt and I have begun the joyous fun of dividing up our time with both families during the holidays. This year divided well and we still get time to begin our own traditions. Next year may be tough sense my family is taking a vacation together. It will be hard to get to the Campbell side.
Our tree is up and the presents are wrapped under it. The only thing missing in our house is a nativity. I'll have to buy one at the day after Christmas sells.
Have a Merry Christmas.

| I was amazed yesterday at the willingness of the men in the school to clean off everyone's cars after school. It was cheap entertainment to watch but they got the job done. There is no school today. R-12 never closes. YIPPEE!!! Matt is at work. It took him 30 minutes to clean off his car. He is sliding his way to Branson and back. Gussie is so cold she is not moving other than to lick my feet every now and then. I think that is her way of letting me know she is still alive. Today I will do some holiday baking and laundry. I 'll also clean the drive way as a nice surprise for Matt when he gets home. I am SOOOO use to getting up early. It is 6:41 and I feel I need to get up and do something. STINK!! |
